Empower SA, is SmartMob’s social responsibility initiative dedicated to social responsibility and community empowerment.

At SmartMob, we believe in using our expertise and resources to make a meaningful impact in South Africa.

We focus on three core areas at present:

  1. Supporting orphans
  2. Supporting young adults
  3. Supporting socially isolated seniors

Join us as we work towards a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

Supporting orphans:

At SmartMob, we are deeply committed to supporting orphans through our partnership with Daybreak House. As volunteers, we contribute to creating a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable babies, guiding them towards a brighter future. Daybreak House serves as a beacon of hope, embodying the promise of new beginnings with each dawn. We believe in the profound impact of adoption, reflecting the boundless love and grace bestowed upon us by our Creator. Just as we are embraced as children of God, we strive to extend that same love and compassion to those in need, offering them a renewed sense of belonging and the opportunity for a hopeful tomorrow.

Thank you so much for an amazing year. I don’t think you will ever understand how much I have learned from you; how to work with people, how to handle bad news professionally, and most of all how to lead people especially, when you’re under pressure. Thank you for providing a place where I can make mistakes and learn!

When I started working here I was basically clueless about how the work dynamic goes, with just basic knowledge in JavaScript. I was scared that I would not cut it despite making it through the interview. I am glad I got this opportunity and I have learned a lot, one of the few things I have grasped is you don’t really have to be perfect, but teamwork can solve everything, Guy has been a blessing and he has taught me a lot, to discovering new ways to solve most of the coding problems I had to writing clean and efficient code. The scrum meetings were also very helpful and kept me motivated to keep working, and also seeing other colleagues working hard and learning helped a lot, I have more confidence now in my coding skills than I had when I began this job and it has been truly a blessing. I feel like I have “levelled up” with this job opportunity. I wish everyone I have worked with all the best in their journey

Thank you very much
